Ampersand Pictures is a film production company devoted to head & heart storytelling.

founded in 2021, its sole creator, Anna clary, has film experience spanning over a decade and has lead a professional videography career for more than half that time.

" I joined my community's filmmaking club as a teenager and started directing short films - some of which we took to national 4-h film festivals where we won years in a row.

I studied photography for a year at Watkins college of art in Nashville. There, more than anything, I learned about the importance of art and expression.

I then searched to find my label. I had a passion for film, but I'd also had a lifelong love of music and creative writing. it took so long to realize what it was about all of these things I adored so much.

"I love people. I love what it means to be human. I love the hard parts as much as the good. tragedy, victory, And the changes we all go through.

I applied the next day to the Nashville film institute.

I had spent my youth learning all I needed to know about the filmmaking craft from the internet. I went to film school to meet people - the exact people that got me working where I am today.

I started freelancing. I shot my first concert in 2019 and landed the first of many touring gigs in 2020.

I became the set bts go-to and shot my first music video in 2021.

since then I have toured all over the country, shot in all the big venues and studios in Nashville, and I try so very hard not to name drop all of the amazing artists I've had the pleasure of working with.

I still write and direct personal films, write and produce my own music, and write creative fiction. I'm a storyteller - no, more than that.
